  • Noon to 2 p.m. & 4-4:45 p.m. View the Wilson's Home and Bill W.'s Writing Studio, explore the Gift Shop and Welcome Center display based on the Stepping Stones Archive, fellowship, picnic (bring your own lunch; we supply water and soft drinks)
  • 2:00-4:00 p.m. Speakers - Alateen, Alcoholics Anonymous, & Al-Anon Family Groups (10-30 minutes each)
  • 4:30 p.m. Event Ends (Last Shuttle from Picnic Site to Parking is 4:45 p.m.)

Product Add-Ons to Your Event Registration: U.S. residents may select products with their registration, but international orders must be made by emailing visit@steppingstones.org or calling 914-232-4822. All sales are final; supply chain issues and the pandemic may impact shipping / timing, which is at the lowest available US Postage rate. Products may be sent following the event. When applicable, indicate size and color of product. If you plan to watch the event you must select "1" for Registration in addition to the product selection or any donations you make.

Parking, Check In, & Shuttle Location:

Park at the Commuter Lots of the Bedford Hills Train Station off 1 Railroad Ave., Bedford Hills, NY 10507 (Please do not park on the side of the tracks with the stores and Post Office.)No street parking or drop off of people or supplies is allowed in Stepping Stones’ neighborhood. Parking is at the train station except for those with Stepping Stones-issued special access passes.

Guest Shuttles loop from train station to Stepping Stones from 12 noon to 4:45 p.m.

Tickets: Show your paperless or paper ticket at train station for a wrist band for shuttle access. Tickets are still available online and will not be available on site. Note: Your ticket attachment may also have pages that are not tickets but are instead your merchandise and donation receipts if you made additional transactions.

Covid Protocols & Liability Waiver: Please do not attend in person (register for online viewing) if you are Covid positive or have Covid-19 symptoms. Temperatures will be checked before guests board shuttles. Masks are required on the shuttles and indoors. Masks are optional outdoors and under the tent. The long sides of the rectangular tent will be open for circulation of air. Some or all shuttle windows will be open weather permitting. Please maintain social distance when possible and be sure to ask others if they are comfortable prior to hugging and shaking hands. What to Bring & Wear:

  • Lunch & snacks (We have water & soda donated by Shoprite & Stop & Shop.)
  • Paperless Ticket (on phone/device) attached to email or Paper Ticket. Each ticket has a unique barcode, so encourage friends to register for one.
  • Mask for shuttle & indoors (optional for outdoors & tent)
  • Sunscreen & Bug Spray
  • Folding chair AND/OR picnic blanket and waterproof ground cover if you do not want to use one of our 250 plastic or wooden armless and cushion-free chairs. Please use all chairs cautiously as the ground is uneven, rocky, etc.
  • Casual clothing (light colors suggested to spot ticks) & hat
  • Comfortable, stable, and sturdy walking shoes, sneakers, or hiking boots for rough, rocky, and uneven terrain (closed-toed recommended)

Spanish Interpretation: A limited number of simultaneous interpretation headsets will be available at the back of the picnic tent on a first come, first served basis.

Animals are not permitted at the Picnic with the exception of service animals.

Sign In, Name Tags, & Support - As you enter the picnic, please sign our guest book so that we can stay in touch as we cannot reach you directly through 12 Step fellowships. Please also consider filling out a name tag. Donations help support event costs (tent, transportation, security, port-o-sans, police, permits, event staff, and more).

Waiver for Covid-19 and Other Risks

Please be advised that you (referred to as “Visitor” in this waiver) acknowledge and agree that there are risks associated with entering the premises known as Stepping Stones Historic Site, located as 62 and 66 Oak Rd, Katonah, NY, 10536, and that such risks include, but are not limited to: tripping and falling, having an allergic reaction, contracting an illness or other risks of bodily injury associated with entering upon the grounds, using any structure or facility, walking around, entering any building or coming into contact with staff and other visitors. Visitor further agree to release and forever discharge and hold harmless Stepping Stones Foundation and its trustees, directors, officers, employees, and agents, and their respective successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Persons”), from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature which arise or may hereafter arise directly or indirectly from your visit, including any claim Visitor may have against any of them with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, property, damage, or any other injury or loss of any kind, whether caused by their actions, omissions, negligence or otherwise. COVID-19 WAIVER AND RELEASE. Visitor hereby acknowledge the continued presence of a global pandemic involving COVID-19, which Visitor acknowledges to be a highly contagious and potentially fatal virus. Visitor further acknowledges that, despite whatever precaution or protective measure Visitor or Stepping Stones may take, there can be no assurance that Visitor or any person Visitor comes in contact with will not contract this virus as a result of a visit to Stepping Stones. Visitor hereby acknowledges that Visitor voluntarily assumes the risk of catching COVID-19 or passing it on to others, and that the releases and waivers Visitor have provided above extend fully and completely to any harm or injury of any kind that Visitor may experience by catching or being exposed to COVID-19 while at Stepping Stones. Visitor agrees not to sue or otherwise make claim against any of the Released Persons relating to, arising from or in any way connected with COVID-19 and Visitor will indemnify and hold harmless Stepping Stones for any illness, harm, injury, or fatality suffered by any person as a result of Visitor’s visit to Stepping Stones.
